Cardiopulmonary Systems

Mission Statement (Febuary 2010)

Promote research and education as it applies to engineering associated with cardiopulmonary systems. We aim to facilitate international collaborations continuing to create networking opportunities such as hosting conferences, symposia, and/or workshops on timely topics related to cardiopulmonary engineering.

Update from the Chair

We have recently added two new members to our Technical Committee on Cardiopulmonary Systems: they are Drs. Marryn Tawhai (Auckland, New Zealand) and Nicholas Skadsberg (Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA).

Our committee has been helping to organize several sessions at the 2010 Annual EMBS Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Session to primarily fall under Theme 5. Cardiovascular & Respiratory Systems Engineering. Make sure you send in papers and register soon. Note there are also a large number of exciting sessions being presented at the upcoming 2010 Design of Medical Devices conference in Minneapolis, April 2010.
